Fund Raising is an organized activity or an instance of soliciting money or pledges, for charitable organizations. Fund-raising is widely undertaken by charitable organizations, educational institutions, and political groups to acquire sufficient funds to support their activities.
There are several methods used for fundraising ideas like: door-to-door appeals, direct-mail campaigns, charity dinners and testimonials, charity balls, benefit entertainments and, more recently, televised appeals and telephone solicitation.
One good way for raising funds maybe that you should create a transparent process so that the public should be satisfied enough that the money they are contributing is not misused. It will create goodwill for your company and it will be easy to convince people to donate. Companies may also participate in special events like Valentine’s Day to earn some money out of it.
Companies collecting donations should make sure that they have written plans including their financial statements which will increase their credibility. Documentation would be very helpful in satisfying a donor. It could also help to hire an active volunteer having persuasive qualities so he/she can play a stronger role in collecting money.
It is our social responsibility, at the end of the day to participate in charity programs or to contribute towards charity as those at the receiving end of the funds/initiative are people in need and lives change based on those needs being fulfilled.
