Intelius, a pioneer in information commerce industry and an award-winning provider of reliable and accurate information to its clients, is this year’s major sponsor of the Overlake Service League 2009 Drive for Dreams Golf Classic and Awards Dinner on May 18, 2009 at Newcastle, Washington. The annual activity by the Overlake Service League is aimed to help struggling families and school children in Bellevue.

Early this year, in March 2009, the Overlake Service League honored Intelius co-founders Naveen and Anu Jain during its 10th Annual Step Up to the Plate Benefit Luncheon in Bellevue. Anu Jain explained that philanthropy has been both a personal and corporate duty. Naveen Jain, on the other hand, has stated that in 2008 Intellius set a new record for its philanthropic works, having given about $210,000 to various nonprofit organizations that focus on education, healthcare, youth, and family issues.

To encourage its employees to share as well, Intellius has formed an employee matching program and is proffering paid leave for time employees utilize volunteering at local nonprofits.

Naveen Jain, CEO of Intelius, and Anu Jain, Vice-President of Community Relations of Intelius (and wife to Naveen Jain) have been with the company since it was formed in January 2003. Intelius’ corporate headquarters is based in Bellevue, Washington, the same state where the couple lives.

About the Overlake Service League

In its early years (circa the Great Depression), the Overlake Service League’s charitable works included milk feeding to needy children and free medical care to the poor. In 1939 its Thrift Shop first opened to provide affordable clothing to needy families. Today, about 300 volunteers who put in about 35,000 hours annualy in community service uphold the League.

The nonprofit is based in Bellevue, Washington.
